Renal Dialysis - Dialysis Nurse

This clinic is seeking a passionate and energetic RN to join their Dialysis Team.
Provide direct patient care for assigned patients and assist in the care of other patients as needed. Perform all technical aspects of dialysis procedures. Assess patients response to dialysis therapy and make appropriate adjustments and modifications to the treatment plan as indicated or directed by the supervisor or as prescribed by the physician. Assess patient pre, interim, and post dialysis and document findings. Administer medications as ordered to assigned patients. Responsible for assessing educational needs of patient and educating the patient and family regarding end stage renal disease, dialysis therapy, diet and medications.
1 Year Chronic Dialysis Experience
All travelers must have reliable transportation.
All vacations and time off must be preplanned. I would prefer they did not leave the state, as multiple times they are leaving and become stranded due to weather.
It is the expectation that travel staff is here to work and will thus be available for any and all shifts.
Have a demonstrated knowledge of the water room and willingness to open water, close water, make bicarbonate and acid. (Training provided)
Willingness to disinfect the water system. (Training provided)
Experienced patient care technicians, experienced FMC pcts, CCHT or Bonnet Certified.
Comfort with the CVC and heparin administration.
Display excellent customer service and behave as professionals honoring FMC policy and procedures.
Flexibility with the day-to-day schedule.
Understanding of the process and flow of the treatment floor and need for patient safety measures and act accordingly.
Easily managed by nursing supervisors and an understanding of when to defer judgment to supervisor.
Positive attitude and ability to work well with others.
Strong communication skills.
Willingness to preceptor or educate new staff as necessary.
Someone that is prepared to work the first day and acclimates easily to a new environment
