Job Description & Requirements

Cardiac Catheterization Lab Nurse

The RN, Cardiac Cath Laboratory provides direct patient care to adult through geriatric patient populations. Addresses the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care related to the Cardiac Cath Lab environment. Communicates with the physicians as needed, about patient condition. Assists with the maintenance of the Cath Lab departmental equipment and inventory. Assesses and assures procedure room equipment is functioning and ready for use. Obtains supplies for individual cases and ensures all appropriate needs of the Cardiac Cath Lab patient are met. Monitors, positions and assists patients during procedure. Participates in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement (CQI) activities.

Required Qualifications

Current Registered Nurse licensure in the state of Maine. Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider ACLS and BLS certification required. Minimum of one-year work experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab. Minimum of one-year experience in critical care.
