The traveler cannot reside with a perm address in Maine. General Information Beds: 48 – private and semi-private Minimum experience? 1 year Will you accept a first-time traveler? No Patient Types: Cardiac medical and post-surgical/procedures—heart failure, angina, acute MI, NSTEMI, cardiac arrest, arrhythmias, TAVR, watchman, CABG, MVR, AVR, EP studies, pacemaker/AICD, TEE, TTE, stress tests, s/p cardiac cath All beds have telemetry monitored on the unit Patient Ratios: RN: 1:5 (days & nights) Tech: 1:8 Days; 1:10 Nights Required Certifications: RN: BLS, ACLS Tech: BLS, state CNA licensure Skills required Chest Tubes, temp pacemakers (preferred not required), Cardiac drips (Cardizem, amiodarone) – protocols for rate changes Reading/Interpreting Rhythm strips Tech – would like experience with how to place telemetry leads on patients but this can be taught Support on the Unit: PT/OT approximately 8a-4p RT 24 hours Hospitalist (24/7 coverage in house) Cardiologist on call at night, there during day Tech to Patient Ratio: 1:8 day and 1:10 night May have patients without tech support if there is a call out Charting System: Cerner Floating: If yes, where? Rarely, if so only to the other cardiac unit (RN and Tech) May also rarely by required to float to Med/Surg Orientation: (facility and unit) Hospital orientation 1 shift on unit Scheduling: Weekend rotation: Every other Will they be on call? If so, what is that schedule? No call Holiday Expectations: 2/4 as needed Approval of time off?
