Winter has come and gone and there is no better time than spring to head out on a fun and refreshing weekend getaway. Celebrate the season by escaping to one of these breezy weekend destinations where you can relax, rejuvenate and cast off the winter blues.

1. Sedona, Arizona

Spring is the ideal time of year to visit Arizona, especially the breathtaking area of Sedona. With its red rock canyons and towering sand stone formations, there really is no other place like it in the world. Experience the unique geography first hand with a guided tour and nature hike—or if relaxation is at the top of your agenda, head to one of the area’s spas for some pampering.

2. Catalina Island, California

Just twenty miles off the coast of Long Beach lies the beautiful island of Santa Catalina. A short boat trip from Los Angeles or San Diego, the island boasts an idyllic climate year round, making it a great spot for your next weekend getaway. Take a glass-bottom boat tour of reefs and shipwrecks and be sure to spend plenty of time on the island’s mainland soaking up the gorgeous natural scenery.
