Elaine Burwell is the Vice President of Operations for NursesRx, a Travel Nurse and Health Professionals staffing organization in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Burwell has 30 years of experience in health care related fields, including extensive clinical practice as a registered nurse, in such specialty areas as critical care, post anesthesia care, progressive care, medical surgical, pediatrics, and case management. With her current leadership role in health care staffing, Burwell's responsibilities include the analysis and development of business protocols related to competency assessment, performance measurement, and quality improvement, in addition to the strategic planning and implementation of internal operations. Her broad scope of experience and expertise in both clinical nursing practice and process management for health care staffing contributes to the successful placement of qualified nurses and other health care professionals in client hospitals throughout the United States.

Burwell attended St. Luke's Hospital School of Nursing in Kansas City, Missouri and Northwest Missouri State University.

Tammy Nation earned her diploma in nursing from Mansfield General School of Nursing in 1989. She has worked in different specialties throughout her nursing career, which include medical/surgical, pediatrics, home health and management. Tammy joined Medical Express in April 1999 as the director of quality management and was promoted to vice president of operations in February 2002. Tammy understands the needs of the nurse when it comes to career paths and career satisfaction and prides herself on helping to transition nurses to a successful travel nursing career through Medical Express.

Karen Siroky, RN, MSN, is the director of education for RN.com in San Diego, California. RN.com is the education arm of TravelNursing.com's partner health care staffing organizations. Siroky's experience as a nurse includes ICU, liver and cardiac transplantation, program coordination, quality improvement, clinical software development and staff development. She is responsible for the development of the educational offerings of RN.com, including continuing education courses, tests and any other clinical materials requested by facilities.

Siroky has published several articles on transplantation and quality improvement. She earned her bachelor's degree at University of Arizona and a master's degree from San Diego State University.

Shalon (Kearney) Weddington, RN, MSN, is the author of "Hitting the Road: A Guide to Travel Nursing." When Shalon began travel nursing nine years ago, she had no idea what to expect. Now an expert on the "ins and outs" of travel nursing, Shalon provides simple tips and advice on how to turn travel nursing into a positive and rewarding experience.
